In a bid to provide some semblance of normality and combat some of the negativity you will undoubtedly come across today, we are pleased to announce that, at the time of drafting this blog (20 March 2020), it is business as usual here at Camden.
We want to reassure everyone that we are doing everything we can to ensure that our customers continue to enjoy the same high level of quality and service to which you have become accustomed from Camden. We are committed to maintaining the outstanding Camden service we have been providing since 1983 and our production team at Camden is continuing to work extremely hard to fulfil orders.
From a production perspective, we are in a strong position thanks to having our own on-site extrusion facility which remains fully operational in creating our own profile from recycled materials. This unique profile system is made out of 80% recycled content, meaning we are self-sufficient and much less reliant on a supply chain. Not only is this innovative technique environmentally sustainable, it has proven to be a solid and reliable choice in this time of crisis.
Currently, we are experiencing no distribution issues, so we are still able to deliver overseas and our trade centres in Newcastle, Macclesfield, Ipswich and Liverpool are operating as normal and they remain open as a collection point for our UK customers. In terms of delivery, at present we are experiencing few supply chain-related delays, so current and upcoming orders are being delivered on time. Additionally, we are now shipping trailers without drivers as a health and safety precaution.
The unprecedented and rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation has thrown up a lot of problems for everyone, including employers and staff across the world. We are sending our thoughts to everyone who has been affected by this crisis, both locally and globally.
Our priority at all times are our employees, customers, suppliers and the wider Camden community. With advice and guidance from the government and relevant authorities constantly changing, we will continue to review the situation and have a number of stringent measures in place to ensure a clean and safe environment is maintain at all times. Should there be any changes to our situation at Camden, we will endeavour to keep our customers and stakeholders supplied with the most up to date information possible.
