We’re in full-on countdown mode for the FIT Show 2019 at The NEC in Birmingham, 21-23 May.

The FIT Show is the UK’s only exhibition for the window, door, conservatory and glazing industry – a big event on our calendar!

We’re using the FIT Show to officially bring our innovative oversized sliding patio door to market, two years after showcasing the prototype at the last FIT Show.

The patio door’s profile has been specially engineered to ensure the PVCu door frames are strong enough to take the extra size of the glazing units.

Until now, PVCu doors were limited in size and the only option for householders wanting large doors would be aluminium or bi-fold doors.

This product development taps into the current fashion of improving outside space accessibility, which has taken the home improvement industry by storm.

Put simply, bigger doors allow more natural light into the home and can increase the property value.

Sliding doors have a number of advantages over bi-fold doors — they don’t create the same barred effect when they’re closed, they take up less space and they’re much easier to maintain through their working life.

Customer reactions to the oversized patio door were very positive at the last FIT Show and our design and production teams have spent the last two years refining the specifications. To keep with our company environmental policy, the new door is made from 80% recycled PVCu content.

We will also be displaying and demonstrating our new innovative company mobile app, Camden Direct, at the FIT Show – this will enable easy ordering and pricing for installers on the move.

Our popular range of PVCu doors and windows, plus an exciting new contemporary, composite door design, will also be on our stand for visitors to come along and see for themselves.
