Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement of raw materials, products, and services, ensuring they meet specifications, quality standards, and budgetary requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms, prices, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure stock availability without excess or shortages.
  • Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant industry regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including production, logistics, and quality control, to ensure seamless procurement and timely delivery.
  • Process purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies in product quality or delivery times.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing activity, supplier contracts, and purchase agreements.
  • Continuously seek new suppliers and evaluate alternatives to enhance the company's sourcing capabilities.

Schedule

  • 8 hour shift

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage and influence suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis, reporting, and tracking procurement activities.
  • Sound understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process optimisation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and market conditions.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
