Camden’s innovative, over-sized patio door – as exhibited and launched at FIT Show 2019 – has won its first industry award

The Camden Group has been awarded the Sliding Patio Door Company of the Year award in the National Fenestration Awards (NFAs).

The NFAs are the biggest awards platform within the UK fenestration industry, aiming to reward the very best across the sector.

Over five thousand votes were placed in this year’s awards – all of which came from individuals and companies from within the fenestration sector itself.

Camden’s innovative oversized PVC sliding patio door formed the basis of the award entry. Until now, PVC doors had been limited in size and the only option for householders wanting large doors was aluminium or bi-fold doors.

This door has been specially engineered to ensure the PVC door frames are strong enough to take the extra size of the glazing units.

And to keep in-line with Camden’s environmental policy, the new door is made from 80% recycled PVC content.

Roy Harrison, Camden Group Sales Manager, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be voted the Sliding Patio Door Company of the Year, especially in recognition of our over-sized patio door.

“As these awards are determined by the industry, for the industry, they are highly-regarded within our sector, so we are proud to be honoured in this way.

“We’re also pleased to have been shortlisted in five different categories of the NFAs, as this shows that our market-leading credentials are clear across the board.”

In addition to winning the Sliding Patio Door Company of the Year award, Camden Group was nominated in the Fabricator/Manufacturer, PVC Company, Recycling Company and Trade Counter categories of the NFAs.

Meanwhile, the NFA’s Social Networker of the Year award, sponsored by Camden, was awarded to Hannah Gilrane of Prefix Systems.
